About Advent:
Word of Life Ministry will be celebrating Advent again this season for four Sundays in the month of December.

Advent is marked by a joyful spirit of anticipation, preparation, and longing of the celebration of Christmas and the incarnation of Christ. The word Advent means coming or arrival. The focus of the entire season is preparing for the celebration of the birth of Jesus the Christ in his first Advent, and the anticipation of the appearing of Christ in and through His people into our world.

We mark Advent by the four Sundays before Christmas to remind ourselves that Christmas is not just about buying and exchanging Christmas presents, but about celebrating the moment in time when God came to us as a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, a moment we call the Incarnation.

These four Sundays prior to Christmas celebrate the themes of hope, peace, joy, & love by lighting a candle that adorns the wreath as a symbol of our worship.  This Advent celebrationis how we prepare for Christmas!

December 3rd - Hope Sunday
December 10th - Peace Sunday
December 17th - Joy Sunday
December 24th - Love Sunday
